Scope |
Workshop summary This session builds on the Broadcast 1 session and deals with interview techniques including hostile questioning, unexpected questions and turning the interview back round to topic and key messages. It also covers being tips for being interviewed on live TV and Radio.
Aims and Objectives The overall aims are to set out the skillset needed to deal with all types of broadcast media, including being interviewed and giving expert comment. Participants will have the knowledge to negotiate with and be interviewed by broadcast media.
The course will cover: Thinking like a journalist what angle and quote are they looking for? Who is the audience? Consider the visuals for TV Audiofeeds and mic technique Hostile questions what to do. Unexpected questions or off-topic questions. How to pivot or flip the topic in interviews. Get your key message across Dos and donts of being interviewed live. Giving expert comment Build lasting relationships with broadcast media.
